Welcome to Our School Website

Broughton Infant is a friendly and caring school and we cater for children from 4 to 7 years old. Every child is encouraged to work to his or her full potential academically, personally and socially. We particularly pride our selves on our care, guidance and support of children.

Our school is situated on the south-eastern outskirts of the county town of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and is set in attractive grounds including a good sized playing field.

Our catchment area for the school is those houses between Tring Road and Bierton Road, including Douglas Road and adjoining roads (excluding the Coppice Estate), Stocklake, Park Street (odd numbers), also Aston Clinton Road and Bierton Park Estate. We are also sometimes able to admit pupils from outside the area.

We average 150 children in 6 classes arranged by age. We have an experienced and stable teaching staff and Teaching Assistants.

Our pupils are well behaved and polite. The older children are caring of the younger ones and we have an active School Council.

We have achieved a number of awards in recent years, most notably our Artsmark Gold award which recognises our commitment to providing opportunities across all art forms from drama to music, design to literature, dance and to sculpture.

New Millside Pre-School are also based on the school campus as well as the Sure Start Children's Centre.

At the far side of our playing field is Broughton Junior School (www.broughton.bucks.sch.uk) which is to where most of our children transfer at the end of year 2.
